How Colin reacted to Mikaela

We were (reasonably, I think) concerned how Colin would react to Mikaela. So far so good.

Today we brought Mikaela home from the hospital. Here's a picture of her in her new car seat. She's all ready to go but it isn't clear that we're ready for her. We'll see how the first night goes!

It has only been 21 months since Colin was born but I feel like I've forgotten so much already. Here's one example: by the time that Colin was three weeks old, I was an expert at swaddling him in his blanket so that his arms were tightly tied together. We're told that this is supposed to calm the child because it is a similar experience to the womb (although some people disagree). I tried multiple times to swaddle Mikaela over the last few days and this is the fruit of my efforts. As you can see, she's clearly tightly tied up!

Mikaela was born on May 11, 2007 at 1:09 pm. She was 6 lbs, 5 oz and 18 inches long. Mom is a bit tired and had a few complications but is now doing ok.
